Published (since 1998) six times a year to coincide with the start of each new school term, Ink Pellet aims to keep English and Drama teachers updated on the latest news and views from the worlds of theatre, arts, dance and literature. Drama Studio London • Drama Studio London was founded by Peter Layton in 1966. Based in historic premises in Ealing, and now part of University of West London, it currently has 194 full-time students. Susan Elkin investigates.

First Encounters: The Tempest • Aaron Parsons is directing the RSC’s First Encounters touring production of The Tempest and gave us an insight into the process and why making Shakespeare accessible to younger audiences is so important.

Turner at 250 • A year celebrating Britain’s greatest artist, cultural institutions across Britain have announced Turner 250, a year-long festival of special exhibitions and events. Taking place throughout 2025, the programme celebrates 250 years since the birth of renowned painter JMW Turner.
